He adapted to whatever communication method was needed to meet my challenging circumstances of finding a home while moving cross country, only having a week and a half to look for a place, and being detached on a ship with limited email access.

Doug was suggested to us by our mortgage broker who told us he was also prior military. Upon speaking with Doug, we immediately felt comfortable with his skill set and attention to detail, as well as his personality. As first-time buyers, we were very overwhelmed and intimidated by the home buying process. I was attempting to buy this house remotely without having seen it in person, and Douglas could not have been any more helpful. He was able to give me a video tour the day that we were connected, and and is basically the reason that I was successful in buying this house. He was excellent at communicating and staying in touch, And he was very resourceful and helpful and putting me in touch we're people who can help me with other aspects of the loan. Between my parents and I, we have purchased and/or sold four properties in Virginia Beach with the assistance of Marchell Puckett (ReMax Central Realty) as our broker. Her knowledge, service, and commitment to fulfilling our specific needs was top notch, and she continued to be of service and make herself available throughout the time between deals. Not once had we even considered reaching out to another agent. Unfortunately, I called Marchell to line up the sale of my home and discovered that she was no longer in the area. Knowing my motivations and intent (buy depressed and renovate), she strongly urged that I contact Doug Albert (Nachman Realty) - someone she knew personally with the experience and skill-set to give me sound advice while searching for the next opportunity. Try four, and we found the winning ticket…but an offer was accepted same day before I could pull everything together to support my own. Two weeks later, and we stumbled upon a hidden gem of a deal. Offer was submitted and accepted on short order, then it was time for the home inspection. Doug was spot on with his initial assessments, and Doug's inspector was THOROUGH leading to an interesting and prolonged negotiating period. Doug represented my interests extremely well and was able to land the exact deal I needed to move forward. This one was a tough one, but Doug made it happen! Three weeks in the house now, and all aspects (house, neighborhood, local amenities, etc.) are even better than I allowed myself to recognize along the way. Projects begin soon, which will only heighten this already amazing experience. Now the challenge is how NOT to get attached…that'll be the trick. If it wasn't for Doug's expertise and advice, I would surely have missed out.
