Born and raised in New Jersey, Marie graduated with a BA in Economics and Business from Rutgers University. She went on to have a successful career in Sales and Business Development, working her way up to Vice President of a high-tech security firm. Marie and her family settled in Northern Virginia in 1997. Having moved 10 times during her husband's 20-year military career, Marie knows first-hand about the importance of a professional approach to the home buying and selling process. She is a certified Military Relocation Professional. Marie brings a level of enthusiasm and creativity to real estate. Finding a home for you or helping you sell your existing home is what she is passionate about. Additionally, Marie loves to assist the local community and has served as Board Member of several charitable organizations. She grew up in a large family, so having six children of her own is a dream come true. Marie, her husband Tom, and their younger children live in Franklin Farm, where they enjoy gathering around the kitchen table with friends and family. Gardening, cooking, volunteering, and traveling to see their older children are among her vary favorite pastimes.

Seller reviewMarie helped me sell my father's home in Herndon, Virginia and manage the complexity of my long distance situation since I live in New Jersey. She helped me avoid excessive travel to the house by stepping in to assist with home preparation tasks such as letting contractors in and moving some furniture that was in the way of the home inspector. She is thoughtful and strategic, offering well thought-out suggestions during the course of price negotiation and inspection. Marie has a friendly, professional manner and calmly deals with the inevitable surprises and hurdles that accompany most real estate transactions. Buyer reviewWorking with Marie Buonforte was great. She was very responsive to my calls, e-mails, and requests to meet to view homes. She had not been in the door to her own home after a work day for more than an hour before turning around after a prospective home appeared on the market on a particular day to show it to me. That house is now my home, and I couldn't be more thankful for her customer service and responsiveness. Furthermore, she diligently explained documents and processes to me throughout, which was crucial to me as a first time home buyer. I would definitely work with her again!
