My sister was visiting from SC, since I was considering moving there also we decided to go to Century 21 AA to get an idea of what my house was worth. Lucky for me Alea Adams was the agent working that weekend. We arranged for her to come to my house, she toured the house and property and advised what I could do to make it the most marketable. She came back with comps, both for sale and sold properties, and advised how my house would be marketed, I decided to list my house with her. Well I can happily state that my house was sold in record time, with many offers, Alea was kept busy with all the people setting up appointments. Alea had lived in west Islip previously and had showed and sold properties in the community. This was very important to my husband and me. My husband and I called Alea many times during the process of negotiating with a difficult buyer. She always had time for us. She was always patient. If we left a message, she always returned the phone call promptly. I don't know how many times we were hysterical and she calmed us down! Alea helped us negotiate with a difficult buyer and equally difficult buyer's agent. She always kept us informed about each development along the way. Someone in the office (we can't remember her name unfortunately) used to call us when an other agent was showing the house. Although we were not living there at the time, she always let us know when it was being shown. She was so professional and personable that it helped the process. I kept saying,"but my house is worth..." Alea helped us understand that what the house is "worth" was not the issue. It was what the market said it was worth that made the deal. It took us a long time to understand that, but Alea was patient and she was so right!
