Personal Profile

Phil Jones has been drawn to real estate because of its direct impact on the quality of our lives. It matters where we live and who are our neighbors, friends, and business relationships. Phil began his career as a developer and real estate broker in the Colorado Rockies creating second home and retirement neighborhoods. The ideas of traditional neighborhood development inspired him to facilitate community and connectedness to all who purchased his properties. Upon graduating with a degree in Education from the University of Georgia, Phil went on to attain a Master of Divinity and a Doctor of Ministry degree. Following an early career as a college chaplain and minister in California, with a new found love for specialty coffee, Phil returned to his hometown of Orlando, Florida. There he founded a new company called Barnies Coffee & Tea Company, a chain of retail stores which grew to 150 stores in 17 states with over 2,000 employees. During his career in specialty coffee, Phil was elected President of the Specialty Coffee Association which is the worlds largest coffee organization. In his quest to find the perfect coffee, Phil traveled around the world. While President/CEO of Barnies Coffee & Tea Company, Phil was responsible for all site selection of store locations and the successful negotiation of well over 500 leases. After selling his company, Phil moved to Colorado to begin a new venture into community development and real estate. He successfully marketed and sold his development known as The Reserve at Cottonwood Creek in Buena Vista, CO. He was also a broker with Coldwell Banker handling land acquisitions and commercial transactions. Phil and his wife Barbara moved to the Atlanta area to be near their children and grandchildren. He has found the northern Atlanta area, especially Forsyth County, to be a wonderful place to live. Within an hours drive, you can be at all the museums, cultural events and concerts offered by downtown Atlanta. An hours drive in the other direction to the north, are the Appalachian Mountains with their beautiful scenery. If it is outdoor sports that you like, there is nearby Lake Lanier as well as extensive county parks and recreational areas to enjoy. Within that same one hour drive, there are major professional and college teams to watch in person. Forsyth County also has one of the top rated hospital and public school systems in Georgia, in addition to unbelievably low property taxes for retirees. Phil loves being back in real estate in the Atlanta area. It is his passion to connect buyers with a perfect place to live and work and to enable sellers to command the best price for their property when sold. If it is a home to buy or sell, or a place needed to locate your development or business, Phil Jones would be honored to be at your service.

Phil was engaged, communicative, patient, and responsive throughout our relationship. I would, and will, recommend Phil and Century 21 to anyone I may know who is relocating to, or just within, the Atlanta market area.
